About HACA
For over 40 years, the Hull Afro Caribbean Association has been at the heart of a community built on belonging, resilience, and shared heritage.

Rooted in Community, Growing for Generations
The Hull Afro Caribbean Association (HACA) was established in 1983 by a group of visionary community leaders who recognised the need for a dedicated support network for Afro-Caribbean settlers in Hull. What began as informal gatherings soon grew into a fully-fledged organisation offering vital services and cultural programmes.
Over four decades, HACA has evolved to meet the ever-changing needs of our community. From ESOL language classes to employment assistance, health and wellbeing programmes to cultural celebrations — we have remained steadfast in our mission to uplift and unite.
Today, we serve hundreds of members and their families across Hull, operating from our community hub at 25-26 Park Street, where our doors are always open to those who need us most.
